Roofing Services

Residential

We offer our residential roofing customers three options: good, better, and best. Each option includes quality material, but even our good option is better than most other roofing companies. We offer some great warranties through our manufacturers and always stand behind our workman’s warranty.

We offer GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, Atlas, and Tamko products. As with all remodeling and repair projects, we take pride in our workmanship and ensure everything is handled in a professional manner from prepping the roof deck to post-job clean-up.

Commercial

Reid Homes has a professional crew that only does commercial roofing. All have workman’s comp and insurance. As commercial roofing options are substantially different from residential, below is an overview of the commercial roofing systems we work with:

Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO)

TPO single-ply roofing membranes are among the fastest-growing commercial roofing products available, and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many installation and performance advantages. As demand increases for heat-reflective and energy efficient roofing systems, TPO single-ply roofing membranes continue to provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure. TPO is engineered to provide premium performance at a very cost-effective price.

Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM)

Durability, design versatility and installation ease are among the many reasons EPDM is the most popular material for both new and re-roof low slope roofing applications. Single-ply EPDM roofing systems are based on a high-performance synthetic rubber compound that provides outstanding weathering characteristics in climates worldwide.

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

PVC roofs are specially designed to withstand ponding water. PVC membrane is welded together with hot air (no open flame) to eliminate all seams so moisture cannot pass through. PVC roofing systems also reflect nearly 90% of the heat of the sun, thus lowering energy costs substantially in high-heat areas such as the South.

Modified Bitumen (MB)

Modified bitumen roofing is an asphalt-based material designed for buildings with low slope or flat roof structures. There are numerous surfacing options for this system which include factory-applied mineral surface, gravel surface, and “cool roof” coatings which are highly reflective to save on building cooling costs. The latest innovation in MB is the self-adhering sheet. Using special combinations of polymers to modify the underside of the MB sheet, the rolls are manufactured with a release paper. The installer removed the release paper and as the sheet is rolled out it adheres itself to the substrate. This method eliminates the risks associated with the use of torches, hot asphalt, and is completely free of VOC (volatile organic compounds) fumes during and after application.

Elastomeric Coating

Elastomeric coatings are very effective in solving roof leaks and can be used to restore virtually all types of roofs. Elastomeric coatings usually contain polymeric materials, such as acrylic, and a white pigment, such as titanium dioxide, to make them opaque and reflective. An elastomeric roof coating is applied thicker than paint. Elastomeric coatings are inexpensive and can extend the life of your roof by 5-10 years.

Metal Roofing

A metal roof is the surest way to secure the investment you’ve made in your property because it outperforms any other roofing material. The cost is relatively high, but metal roofs typically last 40-60 years.
